Now that we’ve seen this it’s only a matter of time before the carrier name gets weaponised and turned into an advertising delivery mechanism.

I’d call you a cynic, but I wouldn’t be at all surprised.
For some phones with a notch, like the one I’m currently using, there’s less space so the operator doesn’t show often.
