From experience I’ve successfully received refunds on cancelled Monzo cards so I assume every other bank is doing the same.
But what happen if you close the account completely and haven’t used the account switching or it is a credit card?
TSB sent my partner a cheque for interest they had no other way to pay…

Yes it’s always possible no matter how much they stubbornly claim they can’t do it…
